Worms 3D is a turn-based strategy game developed by Zonic Limited and released in 2003 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, PC, and Mac. The game moves the long-running Worms series into three-dimensional environments, where up to four players command customizable teams of worms across fully deformable landscapes. Combat is turn-based, with each side deploying an arsenal of series-staple weapons such as the Banana Bomb, Super Sheep, Holy Hand Grenade, Air Strikes, and Earthquakes to eliminate opposing teams. A multiplayer mode supports the four-player battles, while a single-player campaign offers unlockable landscapes, sound sets, challenges, and secret missions. The transition to 3D reshapes the spatial tactics that defined earlier entries in the franchise, requiring players to account for depth and elevation when positioning worms and selecting their attacks.
