All-Star Baseball 2000

All-Star Baseball 2000 is a licensed baseball simulation developed by Iguana Entertainment and released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64. The second entry in the series, it builds on its predecessor with motion capture technology that reproduces realistic player movements, including swings, throws, and catches. All 30 MLB teams are represented, each with their home stadiums and home and away jerseys, while the licensing also extends to player likenesses and individual play styles. Roster management receives notable improvements, allowing players to be signed from the minor leagues or created from scratch with custom statistics. On the field, the game supports either a full 162-game interleague season or a recreation of the 1999 MLB scheduled season. Compared to the 1999 edition, the overall package represents a broad upgrade across both presentation and depth of play.
