Animal Crossing: Wild World is a life simulation game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development, released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS and later available on Wii U. A sequel to the Nintendo GameCube original, it places the player in a persistent village where time advances in real time, meaning days and seasons shift continuously regardless of how much time is spent playing. Core activities include decorating a home, fishing, catching bugs, and collecting items such as hats and sunglasses, alongside interacting with a cast of eccentric villagers. Up to four players can share the same village simultaneously, connecting either through local wireless or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing visits between friends across long distances. The DS touch screen streamlines item management and navigation, with the stylus also used for writing letters and creating custom patterns.
