NHL 2K8 is an ice hockey simulation developed by Kush Games and published by 2K Sports in 2007 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, featuring Ottawa Senators center Jason Spezza on the cover. Commentators Bob Cole and Harry Neale, returning from prior entries in the series, provide play-by-play and color commentary throughout matches. The game introduced several mechanical overhauls, including a redesigned faceoff system and a new ProStick setup that uses the right analog stick for puck handling, deking, and faceoff control. A Superstar Combo moves system translates real NHL players' signature dekes and fakes into in-game actions triggered by a single button press. Goaltender controls and animations were also rebuilt from the ground up. Additionally, the game made the then-new Reebok Edge jerseys available to players via a promotional code distributed through the 2K Sports website.
