Pokémon Conquest is a turn-based strategy RPG developed by Koei Tecmo Games and released in 2012 for the Nintendo DS. Set in the Ransei region, the game casts the player as a Warlord leading the Primus Kingdom, one of 17 distinct kingdoms engaged in a struggle for territorial control. Each kingdom is associated with a particular Pokémon type — Primus Kingdom, for instance, has ties to Normal-type Pokémon — and their armies compete across a series of tactical battles. The central conflict involves confronting Nobunaga, a formidable antagonist intent on destroying the Ransei region. Combat unfolds on grid-based battlefields where Warlords fight alongside Pokémon, blending the creature-collecting framework of the mainline Pokémon series with the kingdom-conquest structure more typical of strategy games. The result is a notable crossover between the Pokémon franchise and Koei Tecmo's Nobunaga's Ambition series.
