A spin-off from the Ratchet & Clank series, Secret Agent Clank is a platform and adventure game developed by High Impact Games and released in 2008, initially for the PlayStation Portable before arriving on the PlayStation 2. The game shifts the spotlight from Ratchet to his robot companion Clank, who steps into a secret agent persona that had previously appeared in brief television segments within the main series. The central story follows Clank's efforts to exonerate Ratchet after he is wrongly accused of a crime. Gameplay moves away from the standard Ratchet & Clank formula, placing greater emphasis on stealth mechanics and gadget-based problem solving rather than the series' usual run-and-gun action. Despite this shift in focus, the game retains the humor and visual style characteristic of the broader franchise.
