Silent Hill HD Collection is a 2012 compilation released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, developed by Team Silent, bundling remastered versions of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. Both entries retain their original gameplay mechanics and narratives while receiving updated visuals scaled to 720p resolution and a locked 30 frames-per-second performance target. The collection also includes newly recorded voice dubs alongside support for PlayStation Network Trophies and Xbox 360 Achievements. For Silent Hill 2, players can toggle between the original voice cast and the alternate recordings, whereas Silent Hill 3 exclusively uses the new dub due to the absence of the original audio. Across both titles, the puzzle-driven adventure gameplay and atmospheric horror structure remain largely unchanged from their earlier releases, making the collection primarily a technical upgrade rather than a reimagining of either game.
