The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is a 2008 platform-adventure game developed by Etranges Libellules, released across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 2. The third and final entry in the Legend of Spyro trilogy, it picks up after Spyro and Cynder have spent three years trapped in crystal, during which the villain Malefor has extended his destructive influence across the world. Players guide Spyro and Cynder as they work toward confronting the Dark Master and preventing him from destroying the world entirely. Central to the gameplay is the gradual development of new abilities and the unlocking of each character's full powers as the story progresses. The game allows both dragons to be played, with Cynder taking a more prominent role than in earlier entries in the series, making cooperative or solo progression possible throughout the campaign.
