Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires is a 2006 tactical hack-and-slash title developed by Omega Force, released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360. A second expansion to Dynasty Warriors 5, it builds on the franchise's core large-scale melee combat by layering in a strategic empire-building dimension. Players assume the role of a ruler seeking to unify China, managing territorial expansion across a campaign that blends battlefield action with political maneuvering.
