Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis is a platform-puzzle game developed by Nintendo Software Technology and released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS, with a later Wii U release. Set in a theme park called Super Mini Mario World, the game follows an incident in which Donkey Kong, jealous after Pauline chooses a Mini Mario toy over his Mini DK figure, destroys the park's displays and carries Pauline to the top floor. Players guide groups of Mini Mario toys through the park's floors to rescue her. Rather than directly controlling Mario, the gameplay centers on directing the toy figures through obstacle-filled levels. The game includes a level editor that allows players to build custom maps and share them via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, as well as the ability to download community-created stages and access a player-ranking system.
