Ridge Racer 6 is an arcade-style racing game developed by Namco and released in 2005 as an Xbox 360 launch title. The sixth entry in the long-running Ridge Racer series, it retains the franchise's characteristic approach to competition: players race against a field of 14 competitors across multiple tracks, each contest running three laps, with the primary objective being to finish in first place. The game offers a variety of cars and circuits spread across numerous race events, maintaining the series' tradition of accessible, fast-paced circuit racing. As one of the earliest titles available for the Xbox 360, Ridge Racer 6 served as a showcase for the hardware while delivering the familiar gameplay loop that had defined the series across its previous five installments.
