NCAA Football 08 is a college football sports simulation developed by EA Orlando and published by EA Sports, released in July 2007 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, and Xbox 360. The eleventh entry in the long-running NCAA Football series and the franchise's debut on PlayStation 3, it introduced several refinements over its predecessor, NCAA Football 07. A notable addition is the medical redshirt system in Dynasty Mode, which was determined through a fan vote on EA Sports' website — players who sustain injuries during a season can apply for an additional year of eligibility, adding a layer of realism to roster management. The game also retains the limited ESPN integration carried over from the previous installment. Its Dynasty Mode remains a central focus, offering multi-season team-building and recruiting across the college football landscape.
