Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is a roguelite dungeon-crawling RPG developed by Chunsoft and released in 2009 for the Nintendo DS, later available on Wii U. The player takes the role of a human transformed into a Pokémon under mysterious circumstances, left without memories and separated from a former adventuring partner with whom they shared a world-saving mission. The narrative unfolds across procedurally structured dungeons as the player forms a rescue team alongside a newly chosen partner Pokémon. Combat and movement operate on a turn-based system, with encounters playing out floor by floor through randomized dungeon layouts.
