Pokémon Y is a role-playing game developed by Game Freak, released in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. Set in the Kalos region, a land characterized by expansive skies and dense forests, the game follows a trainer journeying through a variety of environments and settlements. Central to the region is Lumiose City, a large metropolitan hub featuring numerous shops and a distinctive tower at its center, from which multiple roads radiate outward. As in other entries in the series, progression involves exploring the region, encountering wild Pokémon, and engaging in turn-based battles. Pokémon Y was released alongside its counterpart, Pokémon X, with the two versions sharing the same Kalos setting. The game represents the sixth generation of the main Pokémon series and marked the franchise's debut in fully three-dimensional environments on handheld hardware.
