Yoshi Topsy-Turvy is a 2004 Game Boy Advance platformer developed by Artoon in which Yoshi's Island has been transformed into a picture book, and Yoshi must travel through its chapters to restore the world to its original form. A group of mischievous spirits grants Yoshi the power to rotate his surroundings, a mechanic made possible by a motion sensor built directly into the cartridge. Tilting the GBA hardware physically rotates the game world, toppling enemies, setting pendulums in motion, and allowing Yoshi to traverse walls or cross large gaps. A display in the corner of the screen tracks the current orientation of the system at all times. Each stage presents distinct objectives — collecting coins, defeating enemies, or reaching the finish within a time limit — that must be satisfied to advance through the storybook's chapters.
