Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a first-person shooter and adventure game developed by Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 6, released in 2025 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The game centers on bounty hunter Samus Aran, who is transported to Viewros — a mysterious planet once home to an ancient civilization — following a confrontation with the deadly sharpshooter Sylux. Stranded among strange hostile creatures, Samus must explore the alien world and find a way back. Gameplay involves scanning the environment for clues, operating mechanisms, and making use of weapons such as the charge beam alongside newly acquired psychic abilities. Samus also has access to the Vi-O-La, a technologically advanced bike used to traverse terrain. The combination of combat, environmental puzzles, and exploration across an unfamiliar world forms the core of the experience.
