Kirby Mass Attack is a 2011 platform and action-adventure game developed by HAL Laboratory for the Nintendo DS and Wii U. The premise centers on Kirby being divided into ten separate pieces by a mysterious villain wielding a magic cane, setting the character on a journey to restore his original form. Gameplay is driven entirely by the DS touch screen, which players use to direct a group of Kirbys simultaneously — a departure from traditional single-character control. Swiping the screen launches the group toward targets, while tapping sends them into direct combat with enemies. The mechanic turns the stylus into the primary tool for both navigation and combat, creating a puzzle-oriented take on the series that rewards coordinating the movements of multiple Kirbys at once across platforming environments.
