Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation is a turn-based strategy RPG developed by Intelligent Systems for the Nintendo 3DS, released in 2015 as downloadable content for either of the two base Fire Emblem Fates titles. Players must have completed Chapter 6 in a base game before the path becomes accessible. Revelation functions as the third narrative branch of the Fates trilogy, following a route in which the protagonist refuses to side with either of the two warring kingdoms, uncovering additional story context that expands on both the Birthright and Conquest storylines. In terms of gameplay structure, it occupies a middle ground between its counterparts: scouting missions are available for earning experience and currency, as in Birthright, but the individual mission objectives carry greater complexity, closer to the demands found in Conquest.
