Kirby: Squeak Squad is a 2006 side-scrolling platformer developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS, later made available on Wii U. A return to traditional Kirby gameplay after the stylus-driven Kirby: Canvas Curse, the game uses the DS face buttons rather than the touch screen to control Kirby through its levels. The story follows Kirby as he pursues the Squeak Squad, a band of thieves, across multiple worlds. As in classic entries in the series, Kirby can inhale enemies to copy their abilities, using a variety of powers to overcome obstacles and bosses.
